Accessed by the Penn State id+ card, funds deposited into LionCash+ accounts can be used to purchase goods or services at participating on- and off-campus locations. As a convenience to its faculty, staff, and students, LionCash+ account have been established for all 90,000 Penn State id+ cardholders (includes all Penn State locations). Since its inception in 2004, the LionCash+ Program has been a tremendous success .... the 2008/2009 numbers prove it! + University Park and State College LionCash+ locations processed over $15.2 MILLION in sales, a 12% increase over the previous year. [Other Penn State locations across the state processed an additional $4 MILLION in sales, a 12% increase over the previous year.] + The combined average daily balance of LionCash+ accounts was OVER $2.1 M ILLION. These funds can only be spent at participating LionCash+ locations. + On an average day, the LionCash+ system processes more than 11,000 transactions.
